The IT services company Agero is one of the participants working in the Hållbar interiör project and has contributed its expertise to the development of the digital tool Hint. The company has extensive experience in working with digital solutions, often unique and tailored to the specific needs of clients.

The objectives and incentives for participating in the study on sustainability have rested on the hope that the project will grow and widen opportunities for companies and stakeholders to work more consciously.

“We want to detail the functions. If more people use the tool and the certification, the standard will increase. It opens up more opportunities to improve and understand the potential for further development. A goal that benefits all stakeholders and effects I myself really hope to see”, says Patrik Frisk about Agero’s work with Hi and Hint.

Sustainability work that makes economic sense

Agero hopes that the project, which promotes circular sustainability, will contribute to increased benefits for society in the long term. Benefits that generate environmental and business benefits, and demonstrate that it is possible to combine sustainability work with economic profitability. It is in everyone’s interest to work towards a transition where environmental concerns and profitability are not at odds, but instead promote innovative solutions to the challenges we face. Hi and Hint is one such initiative.

Jan Saare from Agero has worked as a developer in the process of developing Hint. He describes that early on there was a vision to work according to a practical motto, where clear criteria and measurability were central to the project.”We wanted to create something anchored in a real base.” Substance and measurability are important factors in the credibility of the project. Also that the project is financially justifiable and has the right conditions to stand on its own feet. “There is added value in combining social benefit with financial incentives. It’s healthy, it makes sense and it’s a reasonable development if you want to achieve real change, in which more people can participate,” Jan says.

A tool for all

Another key objective of Hint has been its user-friendliness and accessibility. There was an early ambition among the team to create a tool for everyone. “We have built Hint with the whole industry in mind. You should use Hint regardless of your prior knowledge or position within the company. Hint is for the interior designer, who plans the next project, as well as for the janitor, who takes inventory and makes daily decisions about repairs and maintenance. It should be easy to use, get an overview and understand Hint. So that everyone can easily perform their tasks in a more sustainable and climate-smart way,” Jan concludes.

Certification promotes positive development for an entire industry

Patrik Frisk, CEO of Agero wants to see and hopes that more operators will certify in the future and thus promote a more responsible market in the long run. The hope is to develop the tool further in the future.

“There is added value in combining social benefit with financial incentives. It’s healthy, it makes sense and it’s a reasonable development if you want to achieve real change, in which more people can participate,” Jan says.
