The development of the next version of Hållbar Interiör is now entering a decisive phase. We are finalising the new criteria document for HI 2.0, where climate impact is more clearly integrated than before, both for fixed interior elements and for furnishings.
During the year, three project consultations have been carried out with the project and reference groups. The level of engagement has been high, and the many responses have helped us continuously refine and strengthen the criteria. We are currently compiling feedback from Consultation 3, which focused on furnishings.
A consolidated draft of the full criteria document is expected to be completed next week. The document will then be reviewed by the Criteria Council and go through additional consultation rounds before HI 2.0 can be formally adopted. The objective is for the new version to enter into force in January 2027.
In parallel, the furniture climate database is nearing completion. It will play a key role in enabling transparent and comparable climate data in early project stages.
At the same time, we have been applying HI 1.0 in the pilot project at Svenska Kraftnät’s office in Västerås. Insights gained from this work have provided valuable input for the development of HI 2.0.
